Recycle waste – waste products, whether the paper, plastic and glass in an office environment or the manufacturing waste from a plant can be recycled. Introduce an office strategy and get everyone’s buy in. Rather than binning reams of unwanted paper from the printer, make sure it goes into the recycling bin.

Waste recycling, be it of plastic, paper, glass or cartridges can save millions of tonnes of land fill space each year and constitutes an important element of any company’s CSR programme. 'Hidden' wastes should also be considered in was the audits, notably waste raw materials, energy and water, and wasted time. Similarly, water audits can be important elements of environmental reviews and form the first step in any water reduction exercise.
