Corporate Governance
Corporate Governance is a term used to describe the internal company processes, regulations and policies affecting how a company is administered and how decisions within that organisation are made. Corporate Governance describes the relationships between the main stakeholders within the organisation, and the mechanisms in place to ensure proper accountability, best practice and to protect the interests of shareholders as well as other stakeholders. CSR would refer to the company’s policies designed to ensure best practice as regards the environment, social and economic issues, whereas Corporate Governance would refer to the ways and means that the company ensures the proper implementation of those CSR policies, and how accountability for high ethical standards and responsible Corporate Citizenship is maintained.
